From conventional to smart thermoplastic elastomers

The purpose of the Elasto-Plast project is to familiarize companies situated in the INTERREG FWVL region with the range of options thermoplastic elastomers (TPE’s) provide to enhance the processability and properties of conventional polymers. Furthermore, new TPE’s with additional functionalities, such as shape memory, conductivity, impact modification, ductility under pressure … will be developed during the Elasto-Plast project. The applicability of TPE’s in innovative processing techniques (additive manufacturing) and in high-performance textile and plastic applications will be investigated.
